Medic One Corporate Information
The Edinburgh Emergency Medicine service includes the pre-hospital flying squad known as Medic One.
Our service consists of a large team of highly skilled professionals who are committed to providing the highest possible standards of emergency medical care to 200,000 patients per annum across Edinburgh and Lothian, from roadside to bedside, 24/7, 365 days a year.
Intrinsically linked to the Emergency Medicine service and Medic One ethos is our charity, the Medic One Trust (registered number SCO22668). This was developed in 1998 and funds opportunities for research, education and learning to all Emergency Department staff and promotes excellence in patient care.
Over the years, the Medic One Trust has supported local projects and research leading to increased survival in out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (now the highest in Scotland) and innovative teaching and management skills.
You may be interested in becoming involved with our Charity and corporate events. This would allow your company to form a partnership with a large team of local professionals specialising in emergency medical care, and to increase your company’s reach and public profile.
We have a variety of corporate products on offer. These could include courses in team building, lectures on diverse topics such as cardiac arrest, pre-hospital care, performing under pressure and clinical leadership, tours of the Department and team-building resuscitation simulation sessions.
In addition, you may be interested in learning about transferable skills, medical leadership, meeting other Edinburgh and Lothian professionals with common ideas and goals and increasing publicity for your company with corporate sponsorship or advertising on our website and flying squad vehicle, or at charity events.
